June St. Clair has been a
health care professional for 36 years, able to combine extensive experience as a
nurse in the traditional medical model of care with alternative therapies. This
provides a pathway to healing that enables clients to choose a balanced approach
to health and wellness.
June graduated from the Rolf
Institute in 2003 and the Baltimore School of Massage in 1999, and is currently
employed as a RN within a cardiac unit at Franklin Square Hospital. She also
has a private Rolfing practice.
Rolfing is a system of
“hands on” myofascial manipulation and movement education which honors the whole
person; body, mind and spirit. Connective tissue or fascia is a complex web
that relates our bones, muscles, joints and other organs to each other. Rolfers
work within this myofascial web. Although quite helpful for numerous orthopedic
conditions, Rolfing addresses the whole myofascial form. Many changes occur in
the connective tissue six to twelve months after finishing the first
ten-series. Rolfing was pioneered by Ida P. Rolf, Ph.D. (1896-1979).
Sessions are one hour long
and are usually scheduled one to two weeks apart. Each session addresses
different areas and no two sessions are alike. Rolfing seeks to restore the body to its natural order. The results
are a structurally more balanced and organized body in relationship to the
gravitational field. Other results/benefits that a person might notice are an
improved posture, increased flexibility, and an overall increase in body
awareness.

Sherry
Bergstrom
is Certified in both Reflexology and
Aromatherapy,
is a graduate
of The Baltimore School of Refexology and a member of the International
Reflexology Association and the Maryland Reflexology
Association, where she serves on the Board.
Approximately 75% of
health problems are related to stress or tension. Reducing this
stress or tension is the first step in returning to a state of
balance, or “homeostasis”, resulting in the body being better
able to deal with illness or disease in a natural fashion.
The Feet, each one home to
more than 7,000 nerves, are like mirrors that reflect every other
area of the human body, from head to toe. Reflexologists divide
the body into ten “energy zones” with each zone having a
direct line to one or both feet. During a session tender or stress
areas may be found. By specifically targeting these reflex points,
the reflexologist practitioner can zero in to relax the
corresponding part of the body. There are, for example specific
areas for the heart, liver or kidney. Massaging and applying
pressure to the appropriate nerve sends a signal to the brain,
whichin
turn relays the “message” to the matching body part.
A Reflexology regimen is
best suited as a preventive measure to maintain the body’s
ability for natural healing. Regular treatments can keep your
body running smoothly, improve blood circulation and reduce stress
and tension. It’s a holistic approach, which may allow your
immune system to work better as a result of this lessened stress.
"I believe reflexology is one
of the real natural alternatives that can only make any other
therapy better by its inclusion into any healing program".
By combining
reflexology with aromatherapy, Sherry Bergstrom has had beneficial results in such
areas as stress reduction, migraine headaches, pain management,
constipation, infertility, depression, PMS, menopause, circulation
problems, sports related injuries and quicker recovery from
surgeries just to name a few.

Roop is a certified Master Hypnotherapist and an active
member of the National Association of Transpersonal Hypnotherapists (NATH).
She also holds a Bachelors degree in psychology from Towson
University.
Hypnosis is defined as an altered
state of consciousness which lies between awake and asleep. It is
generally brought about in an individual by the use of a combination
of concentration, relaxation, suggestion, and expectation. Hypnosis is
a perfectly safe technique that anyone can benefit from. Programming
your subconscious mind to work in cooperation with your conscious
desires is the ultimate means of heightening motivation. The only
requirement for getting therapeutic results is that the person has a
conscious desire to change, or in other words, is in agreement with
the suggestions.
Hypnosis is a state of complete
relaxation which is not foreign to you. You actually experience these
altered states of consciousness daily. The minimum is twice a day such
as when you are crossing over into sleep and when you are awakening.
Many people reach these altered states when experiencing repetition
(highway driving), watching a movie, reading, or daydreaming.
Hypnotherapy can be used to enhance
whatever you do in life. The following are just examples of areas that
hypnotherapy can help; smoking addiction, managing weight, mild
depression, stress management, fears/phobias, anxiety, alleviate pain,
behavior modification, past-life therapy, grief management, insomnia
relief, concentration, memory/study habits, motivation, and much more.
Are you suffering from any of the
above? If so, help is here!
If you have any questions or would
like to make an appointment with Sheila, you can reach her directly at

but was discouraged from talking to plants and animals. After a long
career in the construction industry, Pete has reclaimed his natural
talent as a whisperer. He communicates with plants, animals, stones,
human cells, and virtually all living creatures. They, in turn, feel
his kinship and compassion and are naturally drawn to him. Pete now
